De pandemie van 2020 heeft de manier waarop we werken, veranderd. De anderhalvemetersamenleving zorgde ervoor dat veel bedrijven bijna van de ene op de andere dag moesten overschakelen naar werken op afstand, maar voor biotechbedrijf VolitionRx was dat niet zo eenvoudig.
Hoewel VolitionRx al Dropbox Business gebruikte om zijn 60 werknemers in Europa, Azië en Noord- en Zuid-Amerika met elkaar in contact te brengen, moesten ze een manier vinden om het 20.000 vierkante meter grote laboratorium open te houden, contact te onderhouden met thuiswerkend personeel en te voldoen aan wettelijke vereisten terwijl werknemers vanuit huis werkten tijdens de pandemie.
Net zoals alle bedrijven in de zorgsector is gegevensbeveiliging voor VolitionRx een serieuze zaak. Het creëren en valideren van op nucleosomen gebaseerde kankertests leidt tot massa's beschermde medische gegevens die moeten worden beveiligd en afgetekend telkens wanneer ze worden gebruikt of gedeeld. Bovendien zijn medewerkers van VolitionRx, als beursgenoteerd bedrijf genoteerd aan de NYSE, verplicht om regelmatig een reeks fair practice-overeenkomsten met de hand te ondertekenen.
Het resultaat? Werknemers die vanuit huis werkten, hadden moeite om juridisch bindende contracten te delen, ondertekenen, sorteren en bewaren, met name de HR- en regelgevingsteams die ervoor moesten zorgen dat het papierwerk tijdens de pandemie up-to-date werd gehouden.

VolitionRx employees now use Dropbox Sign to share and sign all medical data release forms, fair practice agreements, as well as internal documents. With signed documents saved automatically in Dropbox, audit trails are easy to follow and sharing documents with external regulatory bodies is simplified.
